Ivy is a Memphis native who received her PhD in Audiology from the University of Cincinnati in 2019 where she used animal models to investigate noise-induced hearing loss. She recently completed a post-doctoral research Fellowship at Purdue University, further studying noise-induced hearing loss. Her research involved developing non-invasive, clinical measures to more effectively diagnose ‘hidden hearing loss’ for individuals with normal to mild hearing-loss sensitivity but who have difficulty understanding speech in noisy environments. Dr. Ivy joined the Lafayette Hearing Center in May 2021, and is excited to work with patients in the real world who have trouble hearing in noise. Dr. Ivy is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and loves being part of the LHC provider team to keep you hearing your best, especially in noise!
